How to Go Owl Watching

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Do you like owls and always tried to catch one in its natural habitat? Doing so is very difficult because most owls only come out at night and are resting in the day. But here is a reliable way to find one of them or maybe even hear one of them.

Steps

  1. Stake out late in the day in an area where there are not many trees so that you can see the owl.
  2. You should always try to have equipment that allows you to see things at night clear as day (Night goggles).
  3. Always try to be with someone who knows where to spot owls and knows a lot about them as well.

Tips

  • If you are going to go owl watching stay stationary and quiet as much as possible, or else you will disturb the owls and frighten their prey away.
  • Owls often get mobbed when they are trying to rest during the day. If you see some angry birds mobbing something it is worth taking a look, they may have found an owl for you!

Warnings

  • When you are out at night you have to be aware of your surroundings when you are running around always always have four eyes, one for the floor and one in the front of you so you don't trip and fall.
  • If you are lucky enough to find an owl nest it is best to keep your distance, if the owls feel threatened they may attack you.
